Visiting, Information and Bereavement Counselling Service
If you are looking for advice or information on services for older people in North Edinburgh or the city, please read our A-Z or contact the office on 0131 315 4466. If we don't already know the answer to your problem we'll do our best to help you find the answer.
PEP also provides a visiting service for people who normally live on their own and are returning home after a stay in hospital. Our visitor makes contact with the service user in hospital and arranges to visit on a regular basis when they return home until they feel able to get involved in the wider community once again.
We also provide a visiting service for people who are housebound. This service aims to alleviate the isolation experienced by people who can't get out. Our trained and skilled volunteers visit on a regular weekly basis and provide companionship. The visitors can also help by providing information on activities happening around the area.
Thanks to a three years funding package provided by UVAF, PEP is now developing a Bereavement Counselling Service for those experiencing loss or bereavement. The service will be provided by highly trained volunteers.
Frances is responsible for the management of the visiting and bereavement counselling services and carries out all initial assessment visits
