Volunteer Recruitment

PEP relies heavily on its team of volunteers.

Volunteering opportunities on offer are: Relief minibus drivers, Passenger Assistants (escorts), Club Assistants, Resource Companions, Hospital Home - Link Visitors, Visitors, Bereavement Counsellors, Home Decorating, Gardening & ICT Tutors.

PEP currently has 85 active volunteers 'on our books' each offering anything from a couple of hours per month to several hours per week. All volunteers receive expenses to cover any costs attached to their volunteering and also a PEP 'uniform' - a polo shirt bearing the PEP logo!

All our volunteers go through training programmes which add to their own personal life skills and prepare them for their volunteering opportunities. If you need more information, please contact our offices or complete the on-line form by clicking  here .

The volunteering service is managed by Roy Douglas who recently won a national 'highly commended' award at the Scottish Association of Volunteers' Managers' awards ceremony. Roy was one of only 7 receiving a highly commended award and this places him in the top ten volunteers' managers in the country.

Below are some photos show several of our volunteers in training, receiving awards and generally having fun.
